Lockdown Gallery

Yesterday, in the morning after class,

I did this Lockdown Gallery we had to do. So basically, all of the activities and work we did while in lockdown, we put them in one slide and it becomes like a gallery.

I put in some pictures of my maths, posters, art, slides, and one of the Rata fale (house) activities.

I hope you like my gallery and that it isn't too messy!

Here it is: πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡

My Year 5 Memento

 Hey Bloggers,

About 2 days ago, we did a memento. The years 6s did a slightly different one. It's a little bit like an 'All About Me' because there are some parts which asks you some stuff about yourself.

I found it fun to do because it made me think about what happened this year, and I liked customising the backgrounds and fonts.

This is my memento below:

Responsible Community Poster

a few days ago, We did a poster for Responsible Community. It's kind of similar to another post, which is called 'Public Service Announcement'. I also posted that one a while ago. Also, before this post there should be a Canva poster which is called 'Responsible Poster'.  This poster is for responsibility in the community. I really enjoyed making this poster. I hope you like it!

Here is my poster below:

Responsible Poster

 Hi Bloggers!

About a week ago, my class and I made this poster. I made another Canva poster which is called 'Public Service Announcement. You can scroll down a bit and you'll find it. Or you can just click this link:  https://nwsnajihas.blogspot.com/2021/10/psa.html#comment-form

Also, above this post should be a post called 'Responsible Community Poster'

We had to make a catchy poster, with a short sentence, saying what we want to be responsible for.  Here is the link to my poster:  https://www.canva.com/design/DAEv7jMOg1A/LbP_ygwSpGfL676n3AfjKA/view?utm_content=DAEv7jMOg1A&utm_campaign=designshare&utm_medium=link&utm_source=publishsharelink

Algebra

 Hey bloggers!

Yesterday our teacher told us to do this algebra activity. He sent us a slide which had the instructions on what to do. For task 1, we had to make a drawing in google drawings. We needed to have 16 cans, but each box only holds 4. So we had to figure out how many boxes we needed.

For task 2, we needed to have 72 cans. Each box could hold 9 cans. The same thing as task 1, we had to figure out how many boxes we need.

This is basics of algebra since we're still learning. I still learned a lot from this task. It's basically normal maths, with addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. But, it has variables.

I hope you learnt something from this too!

Here is my drawing of the task we had to do:πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡

Rangitoto Sunrise

Hello, Welcome back to my blog!

Today I realised that I haven't posted this writing on my blog. We did this a few months ago before lockdown. It's a descriptive piece of writing of Rangitoto Sunrise. Our teacher showed us a video of the sun rising πŸŒ…

Here's my writing below! Hope you like it😊

My Paper Diwali Design

Hi again. Today for Diwali I made a paper Diwali designπŸŽ†πŸŽ‡πŸŽ‡

Our teacher sent us a slide full of Diwali facts, and different activities you could do. There were tutorials on how to make it. Here is a link to the tutorial that I followed: https://youtu.be/69mgQqqJ_t0

Also here is a link for the slide with all the activities and tutorials that you can do too!

https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1HjBKXM0Xl25I1stcguGeVYcNjp0z5HkoLtjciK-NWWk/edit#slide=id.g9b6b5d382b_0_0

It was pretty fun and easy to make πŸ˜Š

I really enjoyed it and I think you would enjoy it too.

Tip: You need some sharp scissors to cut this since when you cut it, it's gonna be folded.

There are also some small spaces to cut, which is going to be a bit challenging. You may want one of your parents to help you cut the small areas.

What you need:

  • A4 paper (make it into a square)
  • Sharp scissors
  • Pencil (to draw the design)

I hope that helps to make your own Diwali paper design!

                                                                       Here is my design below!

Public Service Announcement

 Hey, Bloggers

A few days ago, my class and I had to do this PSA. So basically, we made a poster for covid. It's like a poster mostly to get vaccinated, stay safe, and scan- stuff like that. I think it was really fun to make, and yeah. I made my poster on Canva. I hope you like mine! (There's also a small animation at the start)

Here is a link to my poster:

Public Service Announcement

Thanks for reading my blog!

My description on a slide for 19 October

On the second day that school started again after the school holidays, we all did a description. What we had to do was describe a picture, and put it onto a slide. There was actually three pictures we could choose from- which the landscape is a beach. Later I will also post a recount, so remember to check that out next time!

Anyways here is my description:

Below my writing is the three pictures by the way 😊

My Tivaevae

Hey, Bloggers. If you saw my post earlier, you would know all about what we did in the last 2 days from starting online school again. If you haven't, make sure to check it out. It should be below this post. Anyways, we did this Tivaevae which is supposed to be for maths.

I actually JUST finished it right now😜

Cook Islanders use different designs of a tivaevae to make a quilt. It is pretty fun to make and you should try it out!

I learned quite a lot from this. Here is a link of a video to show you have to make it, and below the link is a picture of my Tivaevae 😊

And here's my Tivaevae:

Thank you for checking out my blog :D

Starting School Again!

Hi, Bloggers! School has started again. But sadly it's still online πŸ˜”

Sorry that I didn't post on the actual first day.  So for the last 2 days we've been doing some writing.

On Monday we did a recount on what we did on the holidays. To me the holidays felt really short. So I didn't have that much activities, since you know, it's lockdown. But luckily we went to one place in the holidays. I will post my writing about that later in another post.

Yesterday, we did a description about like a beach. So we could choose from 3 pictures. I chose a picture where it had like a really dark blue sea, bright green trees, a very clear light blue sky, and light warm brown sand. I will also post the pictures and my writing about that in another post.

That's basically what we've been focusing on. But today I'm going to do this Tivaevae. Not gonna lie but I'm not actually sure what it really is. So I'm gonna watch a video on that. I'll update you all later on my work!

See you! 😊

My Lockdown Diary

At the start of lockdown our teacher made this slide called 'Lockdown Diary' In that slide there were a bunch of tasks that we had to do for different days in our own slide of our own lockdown diary. Our teacher had another slide to tell us which tasks to do. Everyday we had a task to do. There were 9 tasks in total. We did this to make some slides in a whole lockdown diary to show what we did during Isolation. Here is my Lockdown Diary with all of the tasks we did.

Sun Shape Poetry

Hey, Bloggers! It is another day in lockdown. A few weeks ago we had to do a shape or concrete poem. For a shape, I did a sun. It's a bit confusing to read because it goes around in a circle. So I'll just write below what it says:

'On a bright sunny morning, in the middle of summer, the sun shone brightly, brighter than ever before!

It was a very nice day, for the kids to go out and play!

Flying kites under the hot sun.

The sun was so bright and sunny, if you wanted to play

you had to wear a hat for the whole entire day.

Sometimes at night,

the sun from behind still shone bright.

If you just took a glimpse at the sun, your eyes will burn like the hot sun above.

Sometimes if you don't even look at the sun, it's so bright and hot you could get sunburned.

One day the kids went out to play, they flew their kites so high that it nearly got burned from the hot bright sun.'

I hope you like it! Here's my poetry shape below if you want to see how it looks like:πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡

Don't try to read it. It'll be hard. But that could be a challenge for you! πŸ˜‰

Disconnect-Ed Fale challenge- Lockdown

Today, my class and I had another meeting. Usually my teacher would explain the work that we had to do on our chromebooks. But today, we could have a bit of time off from our devices. So, our teacher sent us a link to a slide that tells us what to do physically. So, when we went into the meet, our teacher didn't really explain that much about what we were going to do since we weren't working on our chromebooks that much. In the Disconnect-Ed slide he sent us, there was a Fale Challenge. That was what we did in the meeting. So what we had to do was find 10 items in our Fale (house) colour. I'm in the house Rata (red) It's ok to not have 10. But I had 10. Then after we got all the items we could find, we had to share it to the class. (All red) I shared a white board marker, a pen, red playing cards, rubber bands, a small notebook, a gem, a strawberry eraser, a type of drink eraser, a french fries eraser, and a paper boat.  Here is a photo of my items below:

All about me!

In term 1, when we first used google slides, we did an All About Me presentation. We did it so other people could see what we like. We also did it to learn how to use google slides.

The background and everything is from google slides. Thank you to the photographer for taking this photo.

Harp Seal Facts

In term 1 we could pick a sea animal from national geographic kids. I chose to do Harp Seals for my presentation. We did that so we could learn about facts about different animals. You can see my presentation below: πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡

The background and everything is from google slides. Thank you to the photographer for taking this photo.

Matariki-Waita

Yesterday, I made a Matariki presentation for Matariki! First, we had to see the names of the Matariki stars. I chose the star Waita. After that I had to draw my own type of star for Waita, and take a picture of it and put it in my presentation.

Road Safety Week

In week 3 of term 2 we did posters for road safety week. There were three options. We could either do 'Yellow lines means no stopping', 'Slow down around schools', Drop children outside schools'. At first I wanted to do 'Slow down around schools' But then there were too many people doing that so I chose to do 'Yellow lines means no stopping'.  Here is a photo of my poster below:

My First Blog!

Hey bloggers.

My name is Najiha. This is my first blog! My favourite colour is blue. In my free time I like to play computer games, such as Roblox. Also I like bike riding 🚴, drawing, reading books πŸ“˜, baking and helping my dad fix bikes. My favourite food is seafood, such as prawns and mussels. 🍀 πŸ₯ When I’m outside playing sports, I like to shoot hoops with my dad sometimes, or play infinity tag and master with my friends.

Thank you for reading/watching my blog! :)

I'll post more next time!
